A little back story about my life (Jesse Cervantes, CEO), particularly my business. I post motivation thoughts, talking about how anyone can succeed if they put their minds to it, but I didn’t always think like that.
Two years ago when I decided to go full time into my company and trust my intuition, that I was going to succeed was very scary. It is easy to let others opinions, their failures, and life experience influence how you live your life. Not knowing what is going to happen in the future is especially intimidating, and if you are bootstrapping your business, then all the pressure is on you. I set myself up for success during the start of my business by living humbly. Driving a shitty $2,000 yellow car, cooking meals, doing free activities, among other things. I planned ahead. If something didn’t go quite as planned I had the resources to not go out of business.
Let me tell you, it’s a constant battle to get going, especially in a service based industry. But Damn is it a good time. I look at my business now, my clients, and just love it all. All the hard work is more than worth it. Now I get to help others build their vision, and get their companies identity on point and it couldn’t be more enjoyable.
If you work hard every day, you can build the life you want. If you don’t know where to start, just remember it’s one step at a time. Do one small thing every day, to reach that ultimate goal. Just think, in one year you will be 365 steps ahead… And who knows? You could be making an extra 2 or 3 grand a month. You will never know if you don’t start now.
